Yule Ball -- 25 December 2008

"Right," laughed Edward, "happens to the best of us eh?" He racked his brains trying to remember if she was new or something. "What year are you in? I don't think I've ever seen you before ... "

"5th year." She said simply. "New as in transfered here this year?" She asked simply and figured he meant that. "Yeah I did." She couldn't believe she was sharing personal information with people. " I used to go to school in California."

"In the US? Ive always wanted to go there..just to see.. Do you like it here?"
she asked..Everyone had a different opinion about Hogwarts.

"California ... nice," said Edward with a low whistle. "Yeah, must be a bit weird getting used to the weather up here."

"Yeah it was."She said smiling faintly. They did seem nice. "It was really weird to see snow."

"Yeah. I LOVE the snow..winter id my fave season"
She smiled then heard a small growl. Elli's hand flew to her stomache
"Heh...I guess Ill be getting a snack"
she smiled
"Nice to meet you, Bella...its ok if i call you bella, right?"

"I love the snow too. Elli, don't forget you owe me a dance," he reminded her with a smile. "Can I call you Issy?" he asked.

"Sure call me whatever I dont care. People hardly talk to me anyways." She said quietly. "You're Edward right?"She asked turning to look at him.

"Yeah," he nodded, taking a butterbeer off a tray that was floating around. "People don't talk to you? Why's that?"

She shrugged. "I don't know. But I don't really like my housemates. I see don't see why I was put into Hufflepuff. I think the sorting hat was in a foul mood. And decided to put me in a house I'd hate."She rambled. "Because I read all my free time so I'd be a waaayyy better Ravie."

Elli nodded to Edward with a smile then turned to the snack stand...where she saw Katy McLaughlin walking over..and saw Michael too.
"Hmm.."

Katy walked into the great hakll, takin in the scene before her...she had just finished getting ready, only making her mind up about an hour ago to actually attend. She looked around, trying to see if Muichael was here..and saw him looking around at the snack stand. Katy let out a sigh and walked over to him
Hey stranger..you look pretty nice tonight"
she smiled when Michael turned

Edward grinned. "I'm sure the sorting hat a good reason to put you in Hufflepuff. Wanna dance?" he asked as his favourite song came on.

"But I'm not dress well." She said horrified by the thought of lots of people would see her. "And everyone will laugh at us."She added.

Katie stood at the great hall doors, to her right stood Janelle, and her college boy toy was on the other side, getting these two had been extremely easy, Katie smirked looking sideways at Janelle, they both looked gorgeouse, Katie was wearing a dark Purple satin dress, it fit her perfectly and made her stand out, she looked around "not bad eih" she said to her friend

She smirked. "Not that bad. It could be better."She said simply not exactly thrilled.

" we're in school babe.. its the best its getting.. unless we plan something ourselves" her eyes twinkled as the idea struck her

"No one cares," he reassured her, pulling her onto the dance floor.

She followed him quicky trying not to trip. "If I fall over or kill myself or you I'm blaming you."She said smugly smirking a grin forming.

"But you seem to be a natural at falling over so it seems unfair to blame me for that," he grinned back whilst doing The Centaur Walk.

Bella stuck her tongue out at him."Mean."She teased grinning.

"This is boring."She sighed annoyed. "Let's leave Katie."

Elli glanced over and saw Edward and Bella dancing. She smiled
"Perfect time for me to ditch.."
she thought out loud...there wasnt much for her to do..besides that dance with Edward..but he was occupied.
So she headed to wards the doors.,.and saw Janelle and Katie
"Hey girls..cute dates"
she commented, glancing up at the college boys.

katie yawned disappointed, "this whole school is boring" she pointed out

"Duh."She said rolling her eyes. "Hey Elli!" She grinned."Care to join us? I mean it's so dull here. And we could get a guy for you."She added sweetly kissing her date lightly.

"Id love to join you..but i think ill pass on the guy"
she glanced over her shoulder to Edward, her heart thumping quicker automatically.
